BRITNEY YOU GENIUS
by Luke Lewis - via NME.com
Seen written down, the lyrics to Britney Spears' new single make no sense at all: "All the boys and all the girls are begging to if you seek Amy." Eh?
It's only when you hear them sung (begging to "F.U.C.K me") that Britney's linguistic sleight-of-hand becomes obvious.

The American Parents Television Council have called for the track to be banned. I think that would be a shame, for two reasons. First, because acronymic swearing is really quite a neat trick, and one which as far as I know has only been attempted in one other pop song, Robyn's 'Konichiwa Bitches' ("See you next Tuesday"...C.U.N.T, see?).

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

I just got to see Slumdog Millionaire for the first time and i gotta say all the rave reviews it's been getting is totally deserved.
Some of the chase scenes down India's slums are pure eye candy if you're into visually stunning aesthetics.
Although i wouldn't say it's "Danny Boyle's masterpiece" because Trainspotting will ALWAYS be his masterpiece. That film is unbeatable... but watch this film asap and see what all the hype's about.
Slumdog Millionaire is directed by English filmmaker Danny Boyle, of Trainspotting, The Beach, 28 Days Later, and Sunshine previously. The script was written by English writer Simon Beaufoy, of The Full Monty andMiss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and is based on Vikas Swarup's book titled Q & A. The film first premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and later went on to win the People's Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
